The Board of Governors of St Ronan’s College is delighted to share the wonderful news that our Principal, Fiona Kane, has been appointed to a seconded role with the Department of Education as part of the TransformEd strategy within the Leaders of Education: System Leadership Partners programme. The role begins on 1st September 2026.
This prestigious appointment is a reflection of Fiona’s exceptional leadership, vision and unwavering commitment to educational excellence. While we will miss her greatly in school, we are immensely proud that her expertise will now contribute to educational improvement at a regional level.
On behalf of the entire Board and staff of the College, we extend our warmest congratulations to Fiona and wish her every success and fulfilment in this exciting new role.
St Ronan’s remains in a strong and capable position, an Acting Principal will be appointed internally in the coming weeks and we look forward to supporting the College through this next chapter.
