KS3 CURRICULUM

At KS3 The curriculum is focused on acquiring ICT expertise and developing computational thinking and coding skills. All our students have the opportunity to develop their key word vocabulary for GCSE Digital Technology and to acquire digital skills – to be creative, independent and confident users of new and emerging digital technologies. We encourage all students to begin building their CV and work towards gaining Digital Badge Awards.


KS4 CURRICULUM

We currently offer 3 pathways at KS4 which include:

  • GCSE Digital Technology Multimedia (CCEA)
  • GCSE Digital Technology Programming (CCEA)
  • Certificate in Information Technology Applications (OCN NI)

KS5 CURRICULUM

At Post 16 there are 4 pathways offered by the ICT department:

  • A Level Digital Technology (CCEA)
  • A Level Software Systems Development (CCEA)
  • CTEC Level 3 Introductory Diploma IT (OCR)
  • CTEC Level 3 Diploma IT (OCR)

EXTRA CURRICULAR

We encourage our students begin CV building from Year 8 with all ICT students working towards Digital Badges.
