Michael Palin

The Geography Department in St. Ronan s College aim to instil in our pupils a deeper understanding of the world in which we live and encourage them to become global citizens appreciating the relationships between people and the environment.

As our world is changing at a faster rate than ever, we believe that Geography as a subject is fundamental in preparing our young people for this ever-changing world at a local, national and global level. As a result we aim to inspire a curiosity in our pupils about the world around them and encourage them to develop their social conscience and evaluate their impact on our world.

We do this through an appreciation of both the physical and human world in which we live as well as the development of our pupils skills so that they leave us as well rounded young adults confident and equipped with transferable skills to support them in later life.
